Terms & Conditions

 

Hourly Rate

£60 per hour

Sessions are booked half-termly in advance or for a period previously agreed upon.

Invoices will be made in arrears and sent six times per year in the week following the end of each half of term.
Approximate invoice dates for the current academic year 2024/25 are as follows:

  • 20th Oct

  • 15th Dec

  • 9th Feb

  • 28th Mar

  • 24th May

  • 23rd July

  • At the end of the Summer Holidays if tuition takes place during that period

If a specific block of sessions is arranged then invoices will be made for that agreed time period.

Any sessions occurring during the holidays and half-terms, with the exception of the Summer Holidays, will be included in the following invoice.

The hourly rate does not include time spent on creating and/or marking bespoke homework outside of the allotted session times.
Exceptions are made where little input is required to provide materials and guidance for homework.
Otherwise, an agreement will be arranged to account for the time spent.

 

Cancellations

Term-time Cancellations - One weeks’ notice required

Holiday Cancellations - Two weeks' notice required

Cancellation of Further Tuition - Two weeks' notice required

In the event of unforeseen circumstances of any kind, when you are unable to give the notice requested above, I will endeavour to rearrange with you another time that week or reallocate sessions missed to another client.  However, when neither of these solutions are possible, the cancelled session/s will be payable in full.

Student Illness

If we are meeting in person then I ask to be informed, with as much notice as possible, of any student illness.
Due to personal circumstances it is very important I minimise spread of anything to those I am in contact with.

 

Personal Illness

If, due to personal illness, I am unable to carry out the work arranged I will let you know as soon as possible.  I will do whatever I can to find a suitable alternative time for the session/s missed or will refer a substitute tutor if required, whenever possible. However, when neither of these solutions are possible, the cancelled session/s will be payable in full.
